Haa Valley

The Haa Valley is more remote and few visitors reach the area.  Our visit was dominated by visits to a monastery and nunnery – both very different.

The White Temple is home to local monks whe were practicing for an upcoming festival.

The visit to the nunnery involved a trek up into the mists from the highest pass in Bhutan, but with our local Buddhist “protector” in the form of a dog.
