Haridwar
The place where the Ganges meets the plains is a holy place for Hindu Pilgrims to bathe in the ghats – particularly Har-ki-Pairi Ghat, the holiest of all.
In the evening the place came alive when twenty to thirty thousand people came to take part in Ganga Aarti.
