Spring is Coming…

It is starting to look a bit like Spring at the moment.  It has been reasonably warm, with some rain, and that is beginning to make some of the snow disappear on the lower levels and in the village.  Having said that, the snow conditions are pretty good; and we have only had one or two days of soft snow.  It also looks like there is a lot more snow coming over the coming weeks and it will get colder again, so that’s good enough for us.

Our latest set of visitors were Emma. Matt and Charlie.  We had a great few days with them as Emma and Charlie were learning to ski.  They were lucky to have Ivan as an instructor from the ESF, who really brought their skiing on.  It all culminated in us all skiing, or snowboarding in Matt’s case, to Les Gets and having a nice lunch together on their last day on the slopes.

We have been here for over three months and are conscious that the time is running out here in Morzine.  We have skied on 56 days so far; which is the equivalent of almost ten years of skiing holidays.  We have been very lucky, and our sking ability is amazing compared to when we started this adventure.

Although we have plenty of more guests to visit, we only have two skiers coming.  We are also beginning to plan our goodbyes with the friends we have made here, but we will then be moving on to the next phase of our two years away…
