So we have come to the end of the time in Australia, but not before we had the chance to experience Australia Day. After the road trip to Byron Bay, we got back to Sydney in time to see the fireworks from Mrs Macquarie’s Point. This was a fitting finale to eight months of travelling.

We have also had the good news that Paul is recovering well from his liver infection, with his readings dramatically reduced. We have now returned to the UK for a few months so he can fully recover, and hopefully clear the virus. Then sometime between April and June we will be off again to South America. But until then we won’t post anything until we know our plans for sure. See everyone again soon for Part Two.
