Plenty of Visitors

After a quiet December we have had various people to stay in Morzine.

Steve and Jill came over New Year.  The weather was very mixed with everything from sun to snow and rain.  Although a short stay we did get a couple of days skiing, in between shopping and eating!!

The next group was larger and turned out to be very eventful.  After around forty years of skiing Byron brought his granddaughter, Oriane, her boyfriend, Gavin, and his great niece, Romayne, for a week.  This started out with us helping the newbies after they had ski lessons for the first time.  It was quite fun learning the slopes so we can give everyone the chance to learn and progress.

However, after a couple of days disaster struck when Byron fell innocuously but hurt his knee.  After a couple of visits to the Medical Centre we were relieved that nothing was broken.  However, Byron will have to wait and see if he has done any further damage.

The next group was slightly less eventful for them, but not for us.  Den and Rob were our first non-skiing group but we managed to show them what it was like up the mountains by taking them to the restaurants at the top of the gondolas.

However, things turned eventful when we took them out for an evening snowmobiling.  Whilst they both enjoyed it, we both managed to turn over our snowmobile.  We were lucky as we both fell clear of the snowmobile with nothing hurt but our pride.

Our latest visitors were Janet, Nigel and William.  This was a regular ski holiday but with Nigel skiing for the first time in seven or eight years.  Weather was mixed but we all had a good time and there was plenty of fun on the slopes and entertainment-wise.

We are around half way through our ski trip but have plenty more visitors to come.
